Strength Of The World

It was cold. Very dark aswell. But peacful. He looked around the cell. Dingy, damp, disgusting. His days were over. Sentaced to death row. He had been sat still all day wathing prisoners loved ones going to visit them. He had no one. He had no family left. His mother, father and sister had been killed by outlaws. A gang that thought they ran the town the he lived in. When he found out he did what anyone would have done, cried. The day of the funeral came. Loads of people turned up to say their last goodbyes. His family was very popular in their local area. As their bodies were lowered into the ground, he made a vow. A vow to hunt down the person who did it and make him suffer, just like his family had.
Revenge was dripping from his teeth. He was going to bring the killer to his knees. Since the day his parents and sister had died, he'd never be the same.
The light flickered in the hall. Someone coughed. A faint sound of a cry. The man sitting all alone smiled in a twisted sort of way. He could remember what had happened to end him up in here.
~Flashback~
A quiet street, no one around. A cat wandered across the road. Silence broken by footsteps. A man dressed head to toe in black walked on the pavement up to house number 41. Hands shaking, he tried to open it. Good thing for him it was unlocked, bad thing for the guy inside. Slowly making his way up the stairs trying not to make a sound he opened a door to which lead to a bedroom. Inside the room a man was sitting on the bed. Hearing the door open he turned around, a look of shock on his face.
"What the fuck? Who the fuck are you?" The man in all black stood still, mumbled something so quietly the other man could only just hear.
"To avenge my families pride." The other man looked confused.
"I don't get y..." He stuttered off. The man in black had just pulled out a gun. He stepped closer. He towered over the other man.
"I've seen my family fade away. You've taken my whole life. There's nothing left to say." A bead of sweat ran down his forehead. He pulled the trigger. The next minute was a blur. A scream, a bang. The white walls were now splattered with red. An hour later he handing himself in at the police station. He had his revenge and now it was over.
~End Of Flashback
The man in his cell looked at his watch. 30 minutes until his execution by a deadly injection. Looking up he thought how he'd be reunited with his mother, father and sister. A tear slid down his cheek as he whispered.
"So far forever now alone, a greater punishment on me has been imposed. A killer falling from the light, I'll miss my family, I'll never be alright."
