Vampire Child
chapter 1
Caine was a sweet, innocent boy. He had an adorable personality, all the vampires adored him, except his parents, the future king and queen. Caine, unlike most vampires, was ugly. And sadly, his parents were shallow and superficial, thus they hated him. Arc and Arianna were the most elegant and captivating of all the vampires and having such a repulsive son disgusted them to the extent that they could not bare look at him in face knowing he is of their own flesh and bone. Caine, was still young and sinless when Arc could was pushed to his limit. He could not stand that Caine would be the next king of the vampires after him. So he talked with Arianna and they came to the decision to sentence him to a hidden chamber for eternity.
The entire vampire race mourned for a century after Caine died of 'a natural disease' as Arc had informed them. With each passing day, Arc and Arianna felt worse and worse about their decision. For 900 years, they could not overcome the guilt, and did not have another child. Arc had felt so terrible, that he committed sudden suicide and was found an hour after he hung himself from the gold chandelier in the dining hall. He was found by his beloved wife, Arianna. Arianna did not take losses well. She planned to kill herself immediately but then realized that she must release Caine from his imprisonment. She thought it would make Arc happy.
And she did. Arianna visited the rotting would-be vampire prince in his empty hell. Caine's hair was over twice his body length, and his fangs were inches long. His eyes were bloodshot, and a dim green. The rotting skin of Caine's nude body was paper white. He burst into tears at the sight of the mother who had abandoned him. Arianna covered her eyes and put her hand on his head, before falling silently and gracefully to the stone floor, leaving behind only a small black package.
With that, Caine's hair began to shorten until it was chin length, his fangs cut until they were no longer visable, and his skin cured, gaining slight color. His reformation was over when his eyes turned a golden green and his now perfect hair covering his face turned a jet black. He was so perfect. But his parents in hell would never be at peace.
