"My dream had always been to become Hokage, and I strived for it all my life. I never gave up on that dream, not once. Even when everyone said that it was such a stupid dream. I didn't stop believing that it could happen. And here I stand, on the stage before you all as the Sixth Hokage. I promise to be the best one of all time!"

Cheering rang through out the crowd and Naruto smiled at them all. He had grown up to be a respected man. He stood tall, his deep blue eyes full of wisdom and his hair had golden as ever. He looked exactly like his father. Hopefully he could make him proud. Hinata ran over to him, throwing her arms around her husband and giving him a kiss on his cheek.

"That was a beautiful speech Naruto," she told him quietly. That was something that never changed about her. Hinata's voice was still as quiet as ever. Though she was not as shy anymore, her silent way of talking was an old habit she couldn't get rid of.

"Yeah Naruto, way to go, who would have thought you actually would become Hokage someday," Sakura said from beside him as well, giving him a kind smile. Sakura hadn't changed very much, except her hair grown back to its long length again, for Sasuke, who stood next to her with his arm wrapped around her. When they had come back on that day, Sakura was so happy to see him. It brought a shine to her eyes that the Uchiha fell in love with.

Right, that day. When they were to run away. After they had left, they soon found Jiraiya walking in the forest, sober. They dragged him to the place where the battle had taken place, but there were only the bodies around, no live ones. All of them came home and were greeted like heroes for taking out Orochimaru. Although they weren't the ones who did it.

Not a day passed where Naruto didn't think about Akurei, thinking if she was alive or dead. If she was alive, where would she be hiding? Why would she be in hiding? No one would hold her accountable for the things that she had done. The others had a clean slate as well. If she had died, what had the others made of their lives?

"Good job Naruto! I knew you could do it!" the happy voice of Rock Lee announced when the Sixth had left the stage. Naruto gave the man a manly hug and ginned at him.

"Yes Naruto, well done. Does the soul good to know that I taught the man that became the Sixth," Kakashi said, walking up. That man still had his mask on, the sly devil. And he was still the large pervert that he was before.

"You taught him? HA! I taught hi the things that was necessary for him to become the Hokage," and older Jiraiya said with a laughing Tsunade at his side.

"Yes, but I shaped him so he could learn. I think I get more credit for that."

The two couples rolled their eyes and just kept on walking through out the crowd. Naruto was stopped many times to talk to him, but he didn't mind. It gave him time to catch up with all of his friends. Even Gaara, the Kazakage was in the crowed and congratulated him. Shikamaru and Temari had walked up to him, smiles on their faces and hands interlocked with each others. As well as TenTen and Neji.

"This is the best day of my life," Naruto sighed as he sat at one of the many stands that had been set up for the occasion. It was a nice place and the four Ninja talked quietly and laughed loudly. It really was the perfect day.

"Naruto, is that who I think it is?" Sasuke asked, pointing urgently over to a small group of people.

"I-I think it is!" Naruto quickly, got up, along with Sasuke and ran over to the group. They heard them coming and turned around. The woman in the front smiled at him and Naruto was about to crying in happiness.

"Akurei… you're alive!" He launched himself at her and he hugged her warmly. Akurei laughed and patted him on his head. "You expect a girl like me to stay down for long? Plus, I couldn't miss your ceremony for becoming Hokage. You talked about it so much whenever I was with you."

"Who are these people?" Hinata and Sakura asked when they finally caught up.

"Hinata, Sakura, meet Akurei."

"I remember her. Well, I remember you telling me about her Sasuke," Sakura said, smiling at her.

"What are we? Chopped liver?!" Deidara said from behind her, his arms crossed over his chest. Sasori hit him, giving him a glare to shut up. "Sorry Sasori-Dono."

"So you were the ones that got away?" Naruto asked, looking at all of the faces.

"Yeah, we lost four comrades, but we're sure they would want to go back to the whole 'Demon Hunting business'."

"So what exactly do you do now?"

"Sit back and relax," Zetsu said from beside Akurei.

"Yeah, we're all lazy and such," the woman agreed, grin plastered on her face.

"Why don't you guys stay here? I would love to see you more often than just once every ten years."

Akurei looked behind her at all the faces behind her. Kisame, Itachi, Sasori, Tobi, Deidara, Zetsu…

"We'd like that."
