Teen Vamp.'s sequel THe Forgotten

Chapter Seven: Truth and Love

“I see, so you knew.” Mr. Johnson stated looking surprised. “No, but I’m sure now. Apparently Emily and I were switched at the hospital and she was given to you and I was given to the Peyton’s. Emily is Zachary’s real sister… Me and Zachary figured it out that we weren’t related like two years ago, we’re just identical strangers… I’m even more surprised that my fake didn’t notice.” Alice said looking at Mr. Johnson. “That’s preciously what I was going to say to you.” Mr. Johnson admitted heart broken.
“But what’s going to happen to all of us now?” Zachary asked pulling Alice back to the bed. “Well, I think it’s only fair that Emily gets to meet her real parents and live with them. Meanwhile, Alice, will move in here since technically I adopted her.” Mr. Johnson said sitting on a couch in the room. “Me live here?” Alice questioned. “Yes, you are technically my daughter.” Mr. Johnson said. “I have I question?” Zachary said butting in. “What?” the both asked. “Before all this happens, don’t you think we should tell our parents, so that they can soak it in before they meet Emily? Giving Alice and Emily enough time to pack and you prepare for them to switch places.” Zachary said looking all around. “……Yes, I think that sounds like a good idea. Alice, Zachary, I’ll give you two weeks or how about a week. You both can leave when you’re ready.” Mr. Johnson said getting up and leaving them.
“You ready to go?” Zachary asked trying to find her face. “Me…what about you?” Alice asked giggling touching the blind fold. “Yeah, hold on a minute Mr. Johnson!” Zachary yelled. “Yeah?!” he yelled back. “Can I take this thing off?!” Zachary asked reaching for the back of the knot. “Yeah you can!” he yelled back again. “Alice, can you help me? The knot won’t come undone.” Zachary stated trying to untie it. “Sure, let me see.” Alice said loosening the knot, “there I got it.”
The blind fold slid down Zachary’s shoulder. The blood lust in his eyes were still there, but it was fading away. His eyes were a light red, Alice backed away little.
“Alice? My eyesight is still a bit blurry, can you tell me if I’m about to bump into something?” Zachary asked, as Alice grabbed his hand. “Okay, let’s go…whoa.” Alice said steadying herself.
“What’s wrong, Alice?” Zachary asked, knowing what was wrong. “Nothing.” Alice said wobbling. “I drank to much blood. She woke up to soon and hasn’t completely recovered form my bite.” Zachary said in his mind touching the bite marks on her neck. “Get on.” He ordered bending down. “I’m fine, you don’t need to carry me.” Alice said reassuringly. “No, get on.” He demanded this time. “Fine.” Alice said getting on his back, “But I don’t like it.” “You don’t have to like it.” He said sternly, “But to tell you the truth…I like it.” “Oh brother.” Alice sighed.

They exited the building; the sun was bright in the sky. The sun burned Zachary’s eyes.
“Ahhh!” Zachary whispered loudly. “Zachary, are you okay?” Alice asked worried. “Yeah, it’s just the sun…it sort of burns my eyes. They said this might happen.” Zachary said squinting and beginning to wobble. “Zack put me down.” Alice ordered hopping down. “But you’re still to…weak to walk.” Zachary said stumbling. “No I’m not you’re the one who’s getting weaker.” She said slipping her jacket off, “Here put it on.” She said again covering his head with it. Zachary tilted to the side almost losing conscious. Alice supported him and walked down an alley covered in shade. “Better?” she asked setting him down against the wall. “A little, my eyes still sting.” Zachary stated out of breath. “Can you hold on a while longer, until we can make it to that hotel, across the street?” Alice asked pointing at the hotel. “I think so? I can’t move right now.” Zachary said trying to get up. “It’s okay, you stay here, I’ll go and get a room then I’ll come and get you.” Alice said getting up and walking down the alley. “Be careful.” Zachary said under his breath.
Alice enters the hotel lobby.

“Excuse me…? I’d like to get a room please.” Alice said at the check in desk. “Yes ma’am, would you like a sweat, a one bedroom room, a two bedroom room, a one bed, or two beds?” The manger asked typing on his computer. “Um… a two bed room please.” Alice said unsure. “Yes ma’am that will be fifty dollars, cash or credit?” The manger asked. “Cash please…here you go.” Alice said counting fifty dollars and handing it to him. “Thank you very much for your service. Here’s your key, your room number is 119. Your fifty dollars will expire at 11:30 tomorrow morning.” the manger stated handing her the key. “Thanks.” Alice said walking away from the desk. “Have a good day ma’am.”

“Hey Zachary… Wake up… Come on I got the room… We can take a shower and everything… Up we go.” Alice said pulling Zachary up and holding him by the waist. “Alice…is…that…you?” Zachary asked regaining some sense of mind. “Yeah, Baby it’s me. I got the room.” Alice said as he put an arm on her shoulder. “They said… they said that this would happen…with my first intake of blood… I should stay out…of the sun… but I didn’t care…I wanted to get you home as soon as possible.” Zachary said disoriented. “That’s…a stupid reason…don’t you think I’m old enough to walk home by myself?” Alice asked waiting for the walking signal. “Yeah I do… it’s just that I…” Zachary was cut off by Alice. “You just didn’t want me getting hurt. Or that you don’t want to take your eyes off of me.” Alice said scoffing. “Yes exactly… I don’t want you to come to any harm.” Zachary demanded weakly. “You’re not in the position to be giving me orders.” Alice stated opening the lobby doors. “Shut up… where’s our room?” Zachary asked entering the elevator. “Second floor… room 119.” Alice said pushing a button on the wall. “Cool how many beds?” Zachary asked as the doors opened to reveal an open window, “Ahh!” he screamed/ whispered as he hid behind the wall of buttons. “Zachary, close your eyes and walk backwards.” Alice ordered pulling him by his arms. “O-okay.” Zachary whispered following her down the hall. “Zack, keep your eyes closed.” Alice ordered continuing to pull him. “Okay, how much further?” Zachary asked closing his eyes even more. “Not much, two more doors… here we are.” Alice said pulling out the key, “Got it.” They enter the room, “Stay here and keep your eyes closed.” Alice said running to the windows to shut the shutters, “Okay, you can open them now.” “Man, what’s with these people in light?” Zachary asked plopping himself on a bed. “Light is a way of life for us. We need it. Not everyone is a vampire you know.” Alice said sitting next to him. “Damn straight… and right now I wish I wasn’t one.” Zachary stated rolling over to his side. “Why are you mad, being a vampire means you have power? The power that most of us don’t have, you are no longer bond by the laws of this world. You can do what ever you want and still get away with it. If you wanted to, you could kill a major serial killer and there would be no clue leading to you.” Alice stated pulling him to his other side. “Well, not exactly… I almost got onto major trouble from almost killing you.” Zachary stated rolling back over. “Are you serious? By who?” Alice asked seriously. “Yeah, so I guess even being a vampire we still have rules just like any ordinary human.” Zachary said still on his side. “Wow, sucks to be you.” Alice laughed. “I know right, but there is something that gut said that I can’t figure out.” Zachary said turning his head towards Alice. “And what was that?” Alice said fiddling with his hair. “They said that they punished dad many years ago… apparently, for committing a crime in their world.” Zachary said almost falling asleep. “Wow, then that means he was a very naughty boy. To get in trouble like that, no wonder he has been all respect the rules type of man.” Alice said still messing with his hair. “Yeah, that must be it.” Zachary said again almost falling asleep. “Well, I’m going to go take a shower. I need to get out of these clothes.” Alice said getting up from the bed. “Okay, I’m going to catch up on some Z’s.” Zachary said yawning.

Alice takes off her clothes and hops in the shower, taking her clothes with her.
“Good the blood’s coming off.” Alice said scrubbing it with soap, “Aw, this feels nice. I still can’t believe that the guy at the front desk didn’t notice.”

Mean while in the other room Zachary was tossing and turning. Since the sun weakened him so much his blood lust was getting stronger. “Alice… can you hear me?” Zachary said falling off the bed. Thud! Alice heard the bang through the wall, Zachary got back on the bed. Alice turned off the water, dried off, and went to the other room. “Zack I heard a bang are you okay?” Alice said whipping her face. “Yeah I’m fine…go back and take a shower.” Zachary said under a huff. “Fine, but I’m done, it’s your turn.” Alice stated going to him, but he bolted up, covering his face, and ran to the bathroom, “Okay that was weird.”
Zachary started the water, freezing cold, but didn’t go in. He saw his reflection in the mirror, his eyes were completely red now. The circles under his eyes were completely black as well. “Why now? It’s too soon.” Zachary said to himself. He trudged to the shower not even taking his clothes off. He banged into the wall in the process sliding down the back wall of the shower. The cold water was beating on him. “I can’t do that again to her, not now.” Zachary said passing out until Alice slammed the door open to the bathroom. Opened the shower, and pulled Zachary face away from the water. “Zachary! Pull it together! Come one!” Alice yelled shaking him. “Cough, cough! A-Alice…no get out! Get out! Hurry! G-go!” Zachary said beginning to bare his fangs. “No Zachary I won’t....” Alice said pushing him back into the tub her along with him, “Don’t fight it anymore. It’s tearing you up inside…I know there isn’t much that I can do, but if this will help tame the monster within you then so be it!” Alice said grabbing his head. “No Alice, not again, you can’t take it…I don’t want to hurt you again.” Zachary admitted pulling away. “Damn it Zachary! Just listen to me! Who ever said you were hurting me. I have to admit it hurt a little, but I can bear it. Do this for me, Zachary, please, just do it for me?” Alice said tearing up. “Okay Alice fine, I’ll do it for you. Just don’t look at me…I’m sorry.” Zachary said sticking his fangs into her neck. “Thank you Zack.” Alice said in her mind. After five minutes of blood Zachary stops, the cold water rushes against their skins. Although Zachary was burning hot, Alice was freezing cold. Alice began to shiver, “Thanks baby.” Zachary said turning off the water and picking her up. “D-don’t mention it.” Alice stumbled shivering. “You know one good perk about this?” Zachary questioned Alice. “What?” Alice asked still shivering. “They did tell me something interesting.” Zachary said holding her tight. “And what was that?” Alice asked as she finally stopped shivering. “They said that I don’t have to hide it anymore, the fact that I love you.” Zachary said kissing her forehead. “Good because I want to say something to you.” Alice smirked kissing him on his check. “What?” Zachary asked setting her down on the bed. “I love you.” Alice said pulling Zachary onto the bed. “Heh, I know that tell me something new. Oh wait, I love you too.” Zachary smirked pulling off his shirt, “Damn, is it getting hot in here?” “It is now, no thanks to you.” Alice stated whipping his face of sweat.

“Besides the fact that I was wet and cold, it was a very productive night……………
Hahahahaha! I’m just kidding! We didn’t do anything! We just held each other, although I am staring to get a cough.” Alice laughed in her mind waking up.

“Hey handsome, it’s time to wake up.” Alice stated nudging Zachary. “Mmm what? Oh yeah beautiful. How are you feeling?” Zachary asked getting up. “Yup! I’m good as new… Are you ready to go home?” Alice asked getting up as well. “Are you?” Zachary asked pulling her into his arms. “Yeah…we have to face them sometime. It might as well be now.” Alice said getting off the bed. “Okay, this is going to be a suicide mission.” Zachary said putting his shirt on. “Hell yeah it is, and yet I’m excited to go.” Alice laughed. “Yeah me too.”
