Meeting A Friend
Chapter 1/1
The black haired girl pulled nervously at her black sleeves. She was standing in the airport, with her parents behind her. The plane from Belgium would be arriving any minute, and by that it meant Gee would arrive too. The girl that she had known for about a year.
They’ve meet through a website called ImNotOkay.net, since they’re both huge My Chemical Romance fans. They started chatting through MSN, and became good friends immediately. Their friendship grew stronger and they knew that they could really trust on each other, even though they’d never met. They shared the same kind of humour too, it could be very sick and low sometimes, but who cares, it made them laugh.
The girl that everybody knew as Emelie saw a plane land on the runway. A voice through the speakers informed them that the plane from Belgium had arrived. Emelie bit her lip, something she tended to do when she was nervous. She didn’t know why she was nervous though, she had wanted to meet Gee since…forever.
People starting to come through the doors, walking to the…that thing that your suitcases lay on, and that goes round and round and round ‘til everyone got their suitcases. Emelie didn’t know the name of it, and she couldn’t care less.
Suddenly see saw a red-haired girl walk through those doors. She was wearing glasses, similar to the ones Mikey Way used to wear back in the days, a pair of black jeans and a black t-shirt with red on it, and as Emelie took a better look, an Adeline skull. She smirked a little as she saw that, Gee knew that Emelie got really jealous when she got that for her birthday.
Gee let her eyes wander over all the people in the airport, trying to find her friend. At last her eyes landed on her and her lips formed a huge smile. Emelie waved at her, not really knowing what to do. Gee mouthed ‘just a sec’ and walked over to the suitcase...thingy.
Emelie took a few steps forward so she could meet her friend on the way. She started giggling when she saw Gee chasing her suitcase on that thing, having a hard time avoiding the people around her. Finally she caught her suitcase, and looked over at Emelie, a huge grin plastered on her face.
They walked towards each other, and when they were about a meter apart, they just stopped and stared at each other for a second or two. Gee dropped her suitcase and then lunged at the other girl. Emelie couldn’t help the muffled ‘oomph’ that escaped her mouth, before she started responding to the sudden hug. After maybe a minute, Gee stepped back so she could take a good look at her friend, as Emelie did the same thing.
“Oh wow, you’re even prettier in real life,” Gee said, still having a big smile on her lips. Emelie blushed, but wasn’t really surprised. She knew that Gee could say things like that out of the blue.
“Yeah, I can say the same thing about you,” Emelie said, smiling up at her friend. Gee embraced Emelie in a tight hug again.
“I can’t believe you’re actually here!” Emelie pulled back from the hug.
“I know, me neither!” Both of them couldn’t stop smiling. “But I’m sure as hell happy to be here,” Gee said, pulling a giggle from her younger friend.
“You just had to wear that shirt, didn’t you?” Emelie asked looking at her friend’s shirt with a jealous gaze.
“What, you like it?” Gee answered in teasing voice.
“You know I do. You better watch out, I might steal it!” Gee let out a gasp.
“You wouldn’t!” Emelie smirked at her, raising her eyebrows.
“Ohh, believe me, I would.”
Emelie’s parents were still standing in the same spot, probably wanting the girls to greet each other properly first.
“You’ll have to excuse their accent when they speak English.” Emelie whispered to Gee. Gee nodded and sent a smile to Emelie’s parents, who smiled back. Gee grabbed her suitcase from the floor. There weren’t much people left in the airport now.
“Shall we?” Emelie nodded in her parents’ direction and started walking. Gee followed, now a little nervous before the meeting with Emelie’s parents.
“What if they think I’m crazy? You know, the crazy girl that influenced you into things?” Emelie giggled again and looked Gee in the eyes.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure they don’t.” and then she added quickly. “I’m just as crazy, so they’re used to it.”
The girls now stood in front of the two adults. Emelie stood back as Gee introduced herself and her parents did the same thing. Then all four of them started walking to a car waiting outside. It was a pretty long ride home to where Emelie lived. As they walked, Gee kept her eyes on Emelie. Emelie eventually felt it and turned to her friend.
“Whaaat?” she asked, confused, but still with a smile on her face.
“Nooothing.” Gee answered, grinning. Emelie rolled her eyes, but couldn’t help but giggle. They fell silent again.
“Couz?” Gee questioned after a while, looking at Emelie.
“What?” Emelie asked, with her eyebrows raised.
“Do you think your parents will let us sleep in the same room?”
“Uhm, of course they will, we already fixed it so you can.” Emelie said, even more confused.
“Yeah… but do they know that we’re the freaking Frerard?" Gee asked, smiling with her whole face. Emelie started laughing, and soon Gee joined her.
“Oh shit,”Emelie said, trying to hold the laughter in. “I forgot to tell them about that part”. Emelie’s parents turned around and gave the laughing girls a weird look, having no idea what they were talking about. That just sent the two friends into harder pits of laughter.
Oh man, Emelie thought while looking at Gee, barely holding in the laughter that wanted to come up from her throat. This is gonna be the most awesome time ever.
Authors Note: The Frerard thing is something between me and Gee (MJLS), since some of my friends call me Frank and her name resembles Gerard's, we call ourselves the Frerard...don't mind that little detail.
Anyway, this was supposed to be sort of a birthday present to MJLS, I asked her what she wanted for her 17th birthday and she answered, “Write me a little one-shot, about how we would act if we met.” So I did (after some convincing from her side), and here it is! : D
