Try So Hard To Say Goodbye

“Hey… uh… Do you have a car?” Pierre asked confused as he noticed something missing.

“Yeah… Well, at least I used to.” We all chuckled not in such a good mood to actually laugh. “Well…” She walked forward and sitting in the step right in front of the door. We all went behind her. “Guess… I’ll have to go in… and uh… stand my parents’ screaming… so…”

“We could explain to them…” Chuck offered, but she shook her head.

“No, just don’t… its ok…”

“Ok…” She opened the door with her keys and turned on the light. She walked one step inside.

“Mom? Dad?-I mean… Gah! Mama? Papa?” She confused the English with Spanish, we giggled. “They must be asleep…” She sighed.

“Go see, and we’ll wait here… Make sure.” Chuck pretty much ordered.

“Sure. Come in, if you want to. It’s pretty cold out here…”

“Don’t worry; we’re ok out here…” Chuck replied, she nodded, and went up the stairs; that were right next to the door.

*Azelia’s P.O.V.*

I walked up the stairs looking back at David, who showed his head from the door, I smiled at him and he smiled back. I got to the last step and made my way for my parents’ room, I walked in and looked around… no one. I went to my sisters’, yet again, no one… Where are they? Where could they be? There is no place they could be at… at least… [/I]We[/I] never go anywhere…

“Azelia?”

“Girl, you there?” I heard some whispering getting closer down the stairs. What should I do? I went down the stairs as I made up my mind, about what to tell the guys.

“Hey, is everything ok?”

“Yeah, sure… uh… They are asleep. It’s ok… You should go and keep up with the tour… I’m so sorry about the interruption…”

“It wasn’t your fault, don’t worry. Uh… I guess, we should get going…” Chuck came closer to me and hugged me, I hugged him back.

Please, don’t leave! That was all I wanted to say right now… but it wasn’t possible…

“We’ll miss you so much…” He said as he rubbed my back. He then let me go.

“Yes we will.” Seb hugged me afterwards. “Hope to see you soon. Take care.” He patted my back lightly and smiled. “I’ll… We’ll miss you.” He kissed my cheek.

“I’ll miss you so much too.” Jeff hugged me without letting me say one thing.

“I’ll miss you so much too. All of you guys.” I tried to smile, but I’m not sure of what my face looked like, I didn’t feel so happy.

“I’ll miss you too.” Katie said as she opened her arms, I hugged her. “It was amazing meeting you…” She smiled.

“A total pleasure. Pierre’s girlfriend.” We giggled as Pierre smirked and hugged us.

“I’m already missing you…” David hugged me tighter than the others and kissed my head. They said goodbye again and walked back to their car, I watched them go away slowly… I wanted to cry so bad… They were already inside the car; I kept watching them as they watched me.

“Go inside… Just go get a rest.” Chuck said from the back window.

“Yeah…”

“Oh, wait!” David called for me and got out the car. “Here.” He gave me a Jack Skellington notebook. “I bought it for you a few days ago; I wanted to give it to you. I did some scribbling on it, hope you don’t mind.” He winked at me. I smiled, then he hugged me once again. “Love you.” He whispered and pulled away. “Take care.” He went into the car again.

“Now go inside.” This time David said.

“Love you guys.” I mouthed, I wanted to say it out loud, but I couldn’t find my voice, I didn’t even try twice. I’m not sure if they knew what I said. I walked back into the house and waited at the door until the car went away.

I hugged the notebook tightly and sat on the couch. That was the only thing I had to hold on from… well and the t-shirts. I sat there just looking around, not wanting to think. It felt like it all had been a dream. I was back at my fucked up ‘home’…
Now alone, ‘cause I have no clue of where are my parents they never go anywhere, not at this time or day… just on Fridays, when I am alone most of the time…

I sighed as I went up the stairs, went into my room and crawled in my bed. Still with the notebook by my side I tried to drift off to sleep. A fountain of tears helped me.

*Next Day*

I woke up at the sound of my cell phone’s alarm; I looked for it under my pillow to turn it off and sat on the bed. I saw the cell phone again… 5:30 am. I got off the bed and went to sit by the couch with the TV in front. I turn it on and put the news channel, why? I have no idea…

“Mom!? Dad!? Anyone home!?” I screamed randomly in English and laughed at my stupidity. “No one home… I guess I won’t go to school…” Anyway… I got up left the TV on and went to the bathroom and got a shower anyways. As soon as I finished my hair and got dressed I went downstairs and got a cereal… I couldn’t sleep, then I just had to entertain myself on something… After I finished the bowl I put it on the sink and went back up the stairs. I sat down again, feeling numb, empty. I stared into nowhere for about a minute… Then I heard the doorbell I stood up and went to get it.

“Hey!” Chuck was standing in front of me, waving happily. I stared… I must be still dreaming…

“Hi… Are you really here?” We both giggled at my stupid question.

“I was wondering if you wanted a ride to school.” This guy does want me to go to school, huh? I laughed.

“Sure.” He smiled. “I’ll go for my stuff…” I announced and went up the stairs again, when I came back I closed the door with my key. Chuck put an arm around me as he leaded me to the car’s door. He opened it for me and then closed it when I was already in. He then went to the driver’s seat. He sat and turned the engine on.

“Are we late?” He asked looking at me.

“No… We are…” I looked at my cell phone, 7:00. “20 minutes early.” I grinned.

“Cool.” He started driving.

“I thought you had leaved…” I said after a short silence.

“No. Do you think those guys would’ve leave without sleeping first?” He chuckled.

“I guess not…” I giggled. The car went slow down the road. Chuck turned on the radio and smiled at me. Walking Contradiction by Green Day started. I smiled back at him; he looked back at the road. I felt something pushing my seat forward, but just ignored it.

“You know what?” He gazed at me and back at the road.

“What?” I wondered.

“I don’t have a driver’s license!” He chuckled.

“You don’t?”

“No.”

“He’s going to get busted!” The most perfect voice exclaimed. I could recognize his voice anywhere.
