The Final Battle
They entered the room, the four remaining Acolytes sitting in the same, large wooden table Shane had seen in his dream. Mikado looked up to see all....four of their faces. He expression contorting and shifting into anger, rage and fury.
“Dammit!” he spat. “how in the hell did you get here?” Then it seemed to hit him.
“That girl, Alyssa passed on her element. Didn't she?” no one spoke, but the silence seemed to give it's own answer.
Cassie and Shane spoke in unison. “We have come to finish this Mikado. We have come to settle something so futile that you had to start a war over it. We have come.....to kill you.” The both looked intently into Mikado's eyes. He didn't falter, but instead struck up a grin and said. “Bring it!”
Isaiah looked around. “Wait! Isn't their five of them.” And without warning blades of wind, and the debris of what it cut surrounded the Acolytes. Cutting and scratching at their limbs. Blood ran down Mikado's arm as well as a small line from Shavian's face. Isaiah had had the worst of it. His wounds pour the burning crimson fluid onto the floor like rain. He was not trying to protect himself. The blood pooled on the floor as Isaiah collapsed. His body lay lifeless. He was dead.
Mason was still shooting blade after blade, as the rest joined in on the pursuit. Shane jumped into his gas form and shot icy spikes and spears at whatever moved. He hit is mark with one going through Shavian's leg, kneeling her to the ground. She shot a blast in the room filling it with darkness but Cassie countered with a aura of pure light.
“Sorry hunny, I like the lights on.” Cassie spat as she shot a blast of light at the kneeling Shavian. She collapsed unconscious. Cassie jumped as a death blast almost hit here in the chest then shot a flurry of light blast at Mikado, hitting him several times. Stumbling him backwards and into Mason's invisible form. Mikado already had a blast ready. He turned to fire.
“Get AWAY FROM HIM YOU BITCH!” Marco screamed. Suddenly the ground shook under Mikado. His feet feel from under him. As vines and roots held him to the spot. Marco shuddered for what seemed like forever. His mind wanted to be close to Mason, to protect him. He felt the same electrocuting feeling and then teleported across the room, bypassing Stefan, who had scorch marks from hell, as Jen was now using some sort of Flamethrower attack. Mason blew a gust of wind, shooting Mikado across the room, then became visible. Staring into the eyes of Marco's who equally looked confused.
“You, um, you teleported Marco?”
“I can see that. It must be my inner power.”
“Well what ever helps keep you-” Mason stopped short, the sound of a voice startled him.
“It won't keep him safe for long.” Mikado spat. His earth bonds, laying wilted on the floor of the room. He was walking toward them, as out of the corner of their eye they saw Shane come up from behind the fight with Stefan and cocoon him. Drowning him in a prison of water, the super freezing it to make sure.
Cassie and Jen and Shane now took up ranks with Mason and Marco. Their seemingly unbreakable line, made him shudder with anxiety. He snarled then shot five death blast. Shane reacted quickly. He waved his hand and froze a long thick sheet of ice infront of them the blast hit, but didn't nothing more. Mikado hissed.
“WHAT! How could that not hit you.” Shane smirked.
“Because you can't kill water.” Jen added
“And you can't kill wind.” added Marco.
“And you can block out the light, but eventually it turns back on.” Shane added.
And with that each of them readied an attack. Firing at once in unison. The blade of wind. The Rocks of Earth, The Stream of Flame. The Blinding Light, and The Oceanless Wave. Each of their attacks hit, Mikado's dumbfounded body. He lay their now. Dead. Cassie began to glow, this light a signal from Aly. It was over, done. They had one...but not quite. Shane looked down at Shavian's sleeping body.
“What about her?” He asked.
“I think that when she wakes up and sees this. She won't want to try to stop us again.”
Jen looked around her gazes meeting the frozen tomb that held Stefan. The bleeding corpse of Isaiah and the mangled and scorched body of Mikado's. He mind traveled back to Isaiah's.
“Couldn't Isaiah just heal his wounds?”
Cassie smiled at her. “Alyssa told me that she was not the only one that saw this war as futile and unneeded. Isaiah had told her, that if the elementals got a good hit on him. He wouldn't save himself. He would also not be used as a medic for a lost cause.” Cassie looked around as well. Then spoke. “lets go home.”
The same feeling entered their bodies as they teleported home. Marco shared with everyone that he thought he had awakened his 'inner power'. The light of the sun had just begun to fade under the horizen. As Shane wiped his hand down his bleeding arm.
“The Sun will come out tomorrow.” he said. Jen smiled.
“Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow.”
“There be sun.” Cassie chimed in.
“Tomorrow, tomorrow.” Marco and Mason sang in unison.
And it was true. The sun would come up. They won. Their powers and their life was theirs to keep. And as Shane looked on into the distance he thought...Are there other realms?
