Invisible No More
Invisible No More (Chapter 1 of 1)
An average girl with pale skin, long black hair, and green eyes was sitting on her living room couch. She wasn't paying attention to the program on TV; She was thinking about the guy who she had played tennis with just a few days before. That girl was me.
My name is Rika and I have a twin brother named Riku. We have a lot in common except for the fact that he's confident, and popular. I'm practically invisible compared to him. I forgot to mention he's friends with the whole tennis team. I've always been interested in his best friend Momoshiro Takeshi. It isn't really a romantic interst, but I find him a bit curious. He's a regular on the tennis team at our school and everyday he comes to our house to play tennis on Wiisports with Ryan. I watch everyday and he's never once said "Hi". Well enough of that I should get to the point.
Like I mentioned before I was sitting on the couch with the TV on when Riku ran upstairs to change out of his school clothes and he told Momoshiro to set the game up. Neither of them noticed I was there of course. Momoshiro grabbed the remote of the coffee table and changed the channel. He was about turn on the Wii when I spoke up, "Excuse me I was watching that."
"Who are you?" Momshiro asked. It was a innocent question, but effected me all the same Riku must've been coming down the stairs and sat down next to me. He knew what I was feeling, sadness and anger. I was sick of being ignored. I was going to say something but Riku cut me off.
"Momo, she's my twin sister. She watches us play tennis everyday." Riku tried to get Momo to recall any memory of me. I could tell he was a little mad too.
"Oh...well maybe you should talk more and get noticed." Momoshiro said. That comment made my blood boil because he was right. I don't even try to be noticed and I'm complaining about it. Momoshiro sure was interesting. I decided to go up to my room, but Riku grabbed my wrist.
"Wait, Rika. How about you play the game with Momo? It might be interesting." Riku said. Momoshiro nodded his head in agreement to this idea.
"Fine, but I'll probably lose though." I said.
"You need to have more confidence in yourself." Momoshiro said and started to game. We kept getting duece on the game. Then when one of us got the advantage the other would take it away
.
"You can do it, Rika! Chop his freaking head off! Wait wrong thing to say." Riku chimed in. Even though he encouraged me I still lost. I was ready to win when my hand cramped up and I dropped the wii remote making miss the virtual tennis ball.
"That was a good game. I hope we can play this again." Momoshiro smiled. I had a good time and I could tell Momo did too. I was glad Riku suggested me playing. Although I didn't gain a victory on the game I did gain a friend. That kind of sounds cheesy, but still it's true. I'm really hoping that this friendship turns into something more, but I would never admit that to Ryan or Momo.
For some reason I like writing anime one-shots where my OC doesn't end up with the character it's about.
