Pirated Scraps of Humanity

Insanity manifests itself in many different forms. It can be a tiny little voice whispering incessantly at the back of your mind, always there and always with the worst of ideas. It can be the darkness you see every time you look into the mirror, only to shy away. It can be that strange urge to do things you never would've even thought of, let alone carry out.

For Tejed it was a curious combination of all three. The voice would nag her constantly, manifest itself in her reflection, and when she least expected it implant the idea of rampant destruction in her mind. And the worst thing was, was that the voice wasn't real: it was simply an offshoot of her original thoughts, diseased as they had become, and Tejed could do nothing about them.

She had been bred as a weapon of war. She was an unwilling engine of destruction. She had lost her humanity. And she no longer cared.
