Walking into the apartment, the smiles that Lauren and Nick had on their faces when they were at the park were still there. hand in hand, the couple walked together, stepping at the same time. Both were amazed about what had happened over the past few weeks, they’d met in strange circumstances, fell in love and then had trouble caused by Camilla. But now they were together and that’s all that matters. Happily the two walked into the living room of the girl’s apartment. Sat on the sofa, Kevin was looking at the TV screen, but not actually paying attention to the stupid cartoon playing. Emily was asleep, led on Kevin’s chest, Lauren ‘awwed’ when she saw it. Claiming it was one of the cutest thing’s she’d ever seen, Lauren opened the balcony doors, letting in the cool LA night air.
“How longs she been asleep?” Lauren questioned Kevin, while Nick sat down on the small sofa.
“She fell asleep not long after Nick phoned” Kevin shrugged.
“And you didn’t wake her up because?” Lauren was amused the Kevin had sat for nearly an hour with Emily asleep on him.
“She needed to sleep, she looked so tired. I guess the stress of you running off and then her crying added up” Kevin shrugged, while he looked down at the sleeping figure of Emily.
“Yeah I guess so” Lauren shrugged before sitting down on the arm of the sofa Nick was sat on.
“Im gunna take her to bed, what rooms hers?” Kevin took his gaze from Emily for 2 seconds to look at Lauren.
“End of the hall, just before the kitchen” Lauren looked at Kevin while she pointed out into the long hall.
“Ok, ill be back in a minute” Kevin stood, moving Emily gently. Struggling to stand with him in her arms he sighed in frustration. Once again he tried to move her, but failed terribly.
“Kevin, look don’t worry. Ill wake her up, then just help her to her room ok” Lauren looked at Kevin before walking over to Emily.
“Are you sure… she won’t be annoyed or anything?” Kevin looked worried.
“No, I wake her up loads. She needs to move to her bed anyway” Lauren shrugged before gently shaking Emily’s arm, “Emily, you need to wake up. You can’t sleep on the sofa”
“Ug, what? Where am I? Where’s Lauren?” Looking around Emily took in Lauren’s laughing face.
“Move your butt to bed Em, you’re in the living room and I am here!” Lauren exclaimed happily.
“Im moving, im moving. Im glad your back Lauren” Emily smiled at her friend while she stood up.
“Im glad to be back Emily.” Lauren smiled back at her friend.
“Night guys” Emily reached out for Kevin’s hand, “Are you coming too?”
“Uhm… I don’t think that’s a good idea?” Kevin looked around him.
“Why? I only want you to stay with me until I fall asleep. I don’t like being away from you Kevin. You make me feel safe” Emily looked at Kevin.
“Ok, but once your asleep ill have to go.” Smiling, Kevin stood up and took Emily’s hand in his.
“Fine, night Lauren, night Nick.” Walking out, hand in hand, Emily began to drift to sleep again.
Once in her room, Emily grabbed her pyjamas before running into the bathroom to change. After changing she went back into her room, Kevin was perched awkwardly on the end of Emily’s bed. Smiling Emily walked over to Kevin, sitting next to him she led her head on Kevin’s shoulder. After a few moments, Emily slid to the end of the bed. Sliding under the covers, she grabbed Kevin’s hand and pulled him up to her. Leaning her head on his shoulder again, she took in his aftershave and stubbly face.
On the other side of the apartment, Nick and Lauren were sat on Lauren’s bed in her room. Both of them were half led down on the bed singing along to the quiet music circling the room. Yiruma’s piano playing in the background calmed the two after the ordeal earlier on that night. Laughing about the whole situation now, Lauren excused herself to go get changed in the bathroom. Walking past Emily’s room, she glanced in and saw Emily asleep on Kevin’s chest, Kevin also asleep with his arms around her. She smiled happily and carried on to the bathroom to change into her pyjamas. On returning to her room, Nick was sprawled across her bed almost asleep. The keys of the high pitched piano still lingered around the room as Lauren pulled her soft blanket over Nick’s shoulders. She pulled the window on the far side of the room shut and turned the heater on to keep her room warm. She grabbed the spare blanket from the closet that the girls use when they have friends over. Lauren carefully pulled one of the pillows from underneath Nick’s head, trying not to awake him from his slumber. She ran her fingers through his hair smoothing his head gently as she kissed him on the top of the head. She slowly made her way across the room to her small sofa, where she propped the pillow up on the arm of it and jumped onto the sofa, sliding down under the blanket. She took a final lingering glance at Nick before turning to face the back of the sofa, a smile developing across her beaming face

“How longs she been asleep?” Lauren questioned Kevin, while Nick sat down on the small sofa.
