After arriving in England, the two couples decided that Lauren and Claire walking around wearing scarves, hats and sunglasses in the weather that England was experiencing would be strange. Ignoring what they had decided to do, Lauren and Claire were told not to worry about hiding who they were by Nick and Joe.
The four got their luggage and made their way outside to the taxi stand. After hailing a taxi, they climbed put their luggage in the boot and then drove off to the boy’s hotel first. The girls hugged the boys and arranged to meet them later on before getting back in the taxi and going to Lauren’s house where Claire’s parents were waiting. Lauren gave the driver her address before sitting back.
“Trust England’s weather to be crap when we get back.” Lauren sighed.
“I know, it’s always how it is though.” Claire sighed.
“Right, so the boys need to meet our parents so we’re gunna have to think of a way.” Lauren said as she thought of plans.
“I know.” Claire mumbled, also concentrating on plans.
“I guess we could like get our parents and families together and then do it all at once.” Lauren said.
“Yeah, that wouldn’t be as bad then.” Claire said, her face lighting up at the idea.
“So who’s house?” Lauren wondered.
“You’re house, then your sisters can go off when they get bored.” Claire said.
“Ok then, we’ll tell the others when we get there.” Lauren grinned.
“Ok.” Claire smiled.
The rest of the ride to Lauren’s parent’s home was in silence. Both girls in their own little worlds. When they reached Lauren’s parents home, they paid the driver and retrieved their luggage from the boot.
Claire and Lauren ran to the front door that was already open with 2 sets of awaiting parents. Lauren ran to her mum and hugged her first before getting her hair messed up by her dad. Claire ran over to her mum also, but instead of having her hair messed up by her dad, Claire got a hug.
“Come on, tell us all about these boys.” Claire’s mum said ushering the two girls in to the living room.
After an hour, Lauren and Claire had told their parents all about Joe and Nick. Once the hour was over, Claire went with her parents back to her childhood home, while Lauren ran up into her old bedroom and grabbed some of the clothes her mum had put in there before showering.
Once Lauren was done, she went back downstairs to talk to her parents for a little while before going into the garden to ring Claire.
“Hello?” Claire answered after a few rings.
“Get your butt moving, we’ve gotta meet the boys.” Lauren said.
“Ok, uhm, how are we gunna get there?” Claire asked.
“Kieran’s gunna drop us off at the hotel. Ill is round yours in half an hour ok?” Lauren answered as she played with her fringe.
“Ok. See you in a bit.”
“Ok, in a bit.” Lauren smiled before hanging up.
Lauren ran back into the house and up stairs. She went into her old room first, grabbed her bag and phone and then into the bathroom so she could sort her hair out quickly. Once she’d done her hair, Lauren went into her brother’s room and told him they had to leave. Reluctantly, Kieran stood, grabbed his keys and then followed Lauren down stairs and out into the garden to his car.
“Move it.” Lauren called as Kieran trailed over to the car in a snail like pace.
“Im coming.” Kieran said, moving slightly faster.
Lauren climbed into the passenger’s seat after Kieran unlocked the car. He climbed in and started the car. Quickly, he pulled out of the drive and sped off down the road towards Claire’s home. When they reached the house, Claire was waiting outside. Seeing the familiar car pull up, Claire skipped down the path and climbed into the back seat.
“Sup.” Lauren sang from the passenger’s seat.
“Hey.” Claire smiled at Lauren and Kieran.
Kieran mumbled a brief, ‘hi’, before driving off in the direction of the boy’s hotel. They arrived at the hotel about ten minutes later. Lauren and Claire climbed out of the car and called a thanks and a bye to Kieran before he drove off.
“I rang Joe and found out their room number.” Claire smiled.
“Cool, I forgot.” Lauren laughed.
“Good I didn’t then.” Claire smiled before walking into the hotel.
The girls walked over the lift and pressed the button to call it. After getting in the lift, Claire the button marked 5, the doors closed and the lift started off, taking the girls to the 5th floor. Even though Lauren had a phobia of lifts, she didn’t mind going in this lift seeming as it was in a hotel and was made of glass, letting her see out of it.
After reaching the 5th floor, the girls left the lift and Claire led the way to the boy’s room. Claire knocked twice before Joe swung open the door. he smiled and moved out of the way for Lauren before engulfing Claire in a hug.
Lauren moved swiftly into the room and went straight to the sofa where Nick was sat, his back to the door and headphones in his ears. Lauren wrapped her arms around Nick’s neck, causing him to jump. He turned around while pulling out his earphones and smiled when he saw Lauren’s smiling face.
“Hello.” Lauren grinned.
“Hey.” Nick said, also grinned.
“What you listening to?” Lauren asked, gesturing towards the ipod.
“Bon Jovi.” Nick smiled as he pulled Lauren over the top of the sofa and onto his lap.
“You could have let me walk around.” Lauren laughed as she took one of the headphones out of Nick’s hands and putting it in her ear.
“Yeah, but what would be the fun in that?” Nick said laughing as he put the remaining headphone in his ear.
“A lot of fun for me.” Lauren mumbled before moving off of Nick’s lap.
“Did I say you could move?” Nick asked jokingly.
“No, but, uhm…” Lauren stuttered trying to find a reason that would be anything but telling Nick that she thought she was squashing him.
instead, Lauren moved closer to Nick and leant her head against his shoulder.
“You’re strange Lauren.” Nick laughed.
“What would be the fun in life if you didn’t know at least 1 strange person?” Lauren laughed.
“I guess so.” Nick said, nuzzling his head against Lauren.
“Guys, I hate to break up the cosy moment, but we’re going out.” Joe called from the doorway.
“Im coming.” Lauren yelled.
“Looks like im coming too.” Nick laughed, standing up and turning off his ipod.
“Come on, come on.” Lauren yelled, hoping around being impatient.
“Calm down, im coming.” Nick laughed as he walked to the door where Joe, Claire and Lauren were waiting.
Nick and Lauren laced their fingers together as they walked out the door together. Joe walked out with one arm wrapped around Claire’s waist as he smiled down at her. Claire walked along playing with the purity ring that situated on Joe’s ring finger.
