Can't have you.

35.

After a little while of Lauren ignoring everyone, Claire gently touched Lauren’s arm and motioned for her to go with her to the toilets.

“What’s happened?” Claire asked once out of the boy’s ear shot.

“Nick had a go at me because I refused to take his money.” Lauren said.

“What? That’s pathetic.” Claire mumbled as they passed a few paparazzi.

“Tell me about it. Look, I don’t wanna talk about it, to be honest im starting to think asking him to come back with me was a bad idea.” Lauren whispered.

“It wasn’t a bad idea, he must be his time of the month.” Claire said jokingly, trying to cheer up Lauren.

“Probably.” Lauren mumbled as they reached the toilets.

“I didn’t actually need to go.” Claire laughed as she pulled herself onto the side.

“Neither do I.” Lauren laughed as she played with a piece of her hair in the mirror.

After 5 minutes, the girls left the toilets and went back to the boys. Lauren slumped down into her chair and looked anywhere but in Nick’s direction, not wanting to see his expression just in case it showed anger.

“Lauren?” Nick said quietly next to her.

“Hmm?” Lauren asked, staring at the ring her mum gave her.

“Are you ok?” Nick sounded worried.

“I guess so.” Lauren mumbled, still staring at the ring on her hand.

“Don’t be mad. I just wanted to get you something.” Nick whispered.

“Im not mad, im annoyed, but not mad.” Lauren said, briefly looking up at Nick.

“Sorry.” He mumbled.

Before Lauren could answer him there was an announcement, telling the four that they had to get to their boarding gate. Lauren stood and grabbed her bag, swung it over her shoulder and then waited for Nick to walk with her. Claire and Joe were already walking towards the gate when Nick stood and gently took Lauren’s hand in his much bigger one. The two couples walked to their boarding gate and got onto the plane.

Lauren and Claire were sat next to each other while Joe and Nick were sat next to each other in the seats behind Lauren and Claire. They all sat down and strapped in before the plane finally took off and headed to England.

While the others were on a plane to England, Emily and Kevin walked around different shops, looking at things for their wedding even though they didn’t have a date. Emily was determined to start getting things for her wedding and arranging everything so she wouldn’t have to worry about anything in the few days before the wedding.

“Em, do you really need to worry about getting stuff for the wedding now?” Kevin asked his fiancé who was looking types of place cards.

“Yeah, I do. I don’t want to have to worry about anything in the few days before I marry you.” Emily replied, smiling.

“Ok, I understand.” Kevin said as he wrapped his arms around Emily.

“Good. I found the perfect ones.” Emily exclaimed as she held up the place card for Kevin to see.

It was a delicate little thing that was cream with silver letterings on, the exact colours Emily and Kevin had chosen for the wedding. Kevin smiled before talking.

“Its perfect, just like my soon-to-be-wife.” He grinned.

“Shut up.” Emily said, playfully waking Kevin’s chest.

“I only tell the truth.” Kevin said grinning down at Emily again.

“Thank you. Come on, lets go and get some of these ordered.” Emily smiled.

“We don’t have the guest list.” Kevin laughed.

“Oh yeah, uhm, lets reserve some?” Emily said, confusion written on her face.

“Ok, come on.” Kevin said as he laced his fingers through Emily’s.

“I guess we need to think of a guest list.” Emily laughed.

“Yeah, we also need to find out how we’re gunna get your family and friends over here.” Kevin said, rubbing circles on Emily’s hand using his thumb.

“This is gunna be stressful.” Emily mumbled as they found a shop assistant.

“I know, but just think, at the end of all this stress we’re going to be married and nothing else will matter.” Kevin muttered before turning his attention to the shop assistant.

As Kevin sorted out everything with the shop assistant, like reserving the cards, ordering the napkins with ‘E & K Jonas’ written on, Emily turned off and began thinking about bridesmaids.

Emily instantly thought of Lauren and Claire as her bridesmaids and then Lauren’s youngest sister as flower girl as she didn’t know any young girls that would be able to walk down the isle on their own. With those positions in the wedding decided on, Emily started thinking about the types of dresses she would want. Something that would match in with the colour scheme that had been chosen.
