Lauren and Claire left the apartment and walked to the little café just down the road slightly. When they reached it, they went in and ordered their pancakes and a hot chocolate for Claire while Lauren had a bottle of water.
“So, how did it go with your mum this morning?” Claire asked.
“Fine, she’s going round mine to start sorting things out for me, she’s over the moon.” Lauren laughed before shoving pancake into her mouth.
“Good, so, where are we going to stay?” Claire asked, seeming worried about where we would live once we moved out here.
“Well, that’s what we have to sort out with Emily.” Lauren said shrugging.
“Ok, let’s eat and then go and sort things out.” Claire said before eating.
The girls are in silence from there on, every now and then sending texts to their boyfriends. Once they were finished, they paid and left to go to Emily’s apartment.
“How come you walk everywhere?” Claire moaned about ten minutes after leaving the restaurant.
“Because I no longer have a car and I really don’t trust the cabs out here.” Lauren said shrugging.
“Ok then, get a car when we move out here please? You have a licence for out here right?” Claire said.
“Yup, I did have a car out here but obviously I gave it to Emily when I left and I don’t know what she did with it.” Lauren said as she walked into the apartment building Emily lived in.
“Ok then.” Claire said as she began climbing the stairs after Lauren.
When Lauren and Claire reached the top floor apartment that Emily lived in, both were annoyed by the continuous wet steps that the cleaner had left.
“Id complain.” Claire muttered as Lauren knocked on the door.
Moments later, the door swung open and Emily smiled. Moving aside she let Claire and Lauren in.
“Hey.” Lauren smiled, walking in.
“Hey.” Claire copied.
“Hi.” Emily said, closing the door.
“We need to talk about moving out here Em.” Lauren said, getting straight to the point and not bothering to leave it for a while.
“Yeah I know.” Emily said, leading Claire and Lauren into the kitchen.
“So what are we going to do?” Claire asked Lauren.
“I don’t know, we need to find a place.” Lauren said, bored of thinking about it already.
“I have a place.” Emily said smiling.
“Yeah? Where too?” Claire asked.
“Next door, the couple are moving out in a few months but aren’t selling up, if you go in and talk to them about it im sure they would let you 2 rent it from them.” Emily said, smiling at her information.
“Yeah, that might work. Im gunna go in a minute.” Lauren said, placing her bag on the side and skipping through the apartment.
Once Lauren had left, Claire and Emily began talking.
“So, you are Joe ay.” Emily said, laughing.
“Yeah, he’s so sweet.” Claire gushed.
“I know. He’s been down a lot lately, well since the whole Camilla incident, you know about that right? But anyway, after he took you to the hotel yesterday he rang and sounded so happy and then this morning he couldn’t stop smiling.” Emily said.
“Yeah, I know about it. She’s part of the reason Lauren left.” Claire said blushing.
“And im so happy about Lauren and Nick.” Emily smiled.
“I know, so am I. this morning she was the happiest ive seen her since she found out she got into college out here.” Claire said, smiling remembering Lauren’s smile this morning.
“I know. You can tell with Lauren when she’s happy. I don’t know how to explain it…” Emily trailed off, thinking of words to explain what she wanted to.
“It’s like the worlds happier and the suns brighter?” Claire supplemented.
“Yeah. That’s it.” Emily smiled her thanks.
Just then, Lauren burst through the front door, having not closed it behind herself. Laughing as she tripped over a shoe, she slid on her front into the kitchen.
“What are you doing?” Claire said between laughing.
“Nothing.” Lauren said standing, “Just been arranging our new home.”
Claire squealed then.
“You have to be kidding right? We’re moving out here?” Claire screamed.
“Yup, next door. Emily, get ready for me to pester you once again.” Lauren laughed, totally hyper now.
“I think its time to go out and sort some things out.” Claire smiled.
“I agree.” Emily chimed in, a smile on her face.
As the girls grab their things, they left the apartment after Emily left Kevin, Joe and Nick a note telling them they were going shopping and would be back no later than 5. Before leaving, Emily ran into her room and emerged with a set of keys, Lauren recognised them instantly.
“I think you’re gunna be needing these now.” Emily smiled.
“You kept my car?” Lauren asked, surprised.
“I did.” Emily said, throwing the keys at Lauren.
Lauren caught them and ran out of the apartment and down the stairs to the garages. Lauren stopped in front of one with the Emily’s apartment number written on it. She opened the door and ran in, flinging herself on her car.
“Looks like we wont be walking then.” Claire laughed as she slid into the back seat after Lauren had opened the car doors.
“Looks like that doesn’t it.” Lauren said, smiling to herself.
I think this is the third update today. Correct me if im wrong LOL.
Im thinking about getting another author for this story atm, its getting hard cos ive got 3 stories. I am ahead with this one though so I might not atm.
