6 Months later.
Lauren had been home in England for 6 months now. She had moved into a flat a few streets away from her parents home and was working at a local starbucks. She had got onto a night course at the local college to finish her child care training.
Emily and Kevin had been living together for 3 months after Kevin, Joe and Nick decided to split the band after having troubles getting around Nick’s depression and Kevin’s anger at Nick. Emily was going to college and working every day during the week.
Lauren slid off of the sofa that was situated in the middle of her cramp living room. Rushing to her phone, Lauren answered without checking who was calling. A stupid idea because after the Jonas Brothers split, some how the press had got Lauren’s number and were ringing her on a daily basis trying to find out why they had actually split. So far the story was that it was Lauren and Emily’s fault for the groups split.
“Hello?” Lauren sang into the phone.
“Hello. This is Sue from Bliss magazine. We would like to ask you a few questions on the topic of the Jonas Brother’s group split.” The women spoke.
“Go away!” Lauren screamed down the phone before ending the call.
Sliding down the wall she had been leant again, Lauren burst into tears. She hadn’t spoken to Emily, Kevin, Joe or Nick since she moved back to England and she missed them all, especially Emily who she always thought would be her best friend.
Lauren finally decided to pluck up the courage to ring Emily, she needed to speak to her best friend again. Dialling the number, Lauren waited for an answer. After a few rings, a familiar voice answered.
“Hello?” Emily said.
“Hi.” Lauren replied sheepishly.
“Lauren?” Emily sounded almost pleading.
“Yup, who else?” Lauren smiled.
“Oh my god, ive missed you so much. Why are you only just calling me? It’s been 6 flaming months missy.” Emily half yelled down the phone.
“Ive missed you to Em. Im only just calling because ive only just got the courage too.” Lauren admitted.
“Why? Why did you need courage to call me?” Emily sounded upset.
“Because you ignored me before I left and told me to go in the first place.”
“Im so sorry Lauren. Please come home.” Emily begged.
“Im home, I cant come back. If you wanna see me you could always come over here. I just cant come back. Not at the moment anyway.” Lauren replied, sadness evident in her tone.
“Ok, im going to come out. Give me you’re address a minute.”
Lauren gave Emily her address quickly.
“Ok, give me a few days to sort things out and then ill ring you with a date. Ok?” Emily sounded worried but pleased at the same time.
“Alright.” Lauren smiled, glad to be speaking to Emily again.
“So what are you up to? Are you dating anyone?” Emily asked.
“Im working, going to college on a night to get the qualifications I need to work with kids and no im not dating anyone. Every time I think about it I…” Lauren stopped short, not sure how to tell Emily that every time she thought about going on a date with someone Nick’s face popped into her mind.
“I understand Lauren.” Emily soothed.
“So what about you? Obviously you’re still with Kevin.”
“Well, im going to college, working loads and yeah, im pretty much in love with Kevin.” Emily smiled gently even though Lauren couldn’t see her.
“Cool. Well look I have to go. Ive got work in like half an hour and I have to walk. Ug.” Lauren laughed gently.
“Ok, well ill talk to you soon ok. I miss you Lauren.”
“Ok, I miss you to Em, bye.”
“Bye” with that Lauren hung up.
Grabbing her keys and her coat, Lauren left her apartment and went to work.
Emily put down the phone as Kevin wrapped his arms around her waist. They stood in silence for a little while before Kevin spoke.
“Do I tell Nick Lauren’s back in contact?” he sounded worried.
“If you want to. She might not talk to him though. Im going out to see her, you’re best off staying here though.”
“Ok, well I wont tell him just yet. And I understand, you need to see Lauren on your own.” Kevin squeezed Emily slightly.
“Thanks Kevin. I love you, you know.” Emily smiled as she turned around in Kevin’s arms and snaked her arms around his neck.
“I love you too Emily.” Kevin smiled down at his girlfriend of 7 and a half months.
They stood, hugging each other, for about 10 minutes before Emily decided to go and sort out booking tickets to go back to England to see Lauren. It needed to be done really, they needed to talk and Emily wanted to get Lauren to move back out to LA.
When Lauren finished work, she went back to her flat with her friend Claire. Claire and Lauren had spent a lot of time together since they met when Lauren started working in starbucks again when she moved back. Lauren and Claire had been friends at school but ended up not seeing each other after Lauren moved out to LA.
“Claire, can we watch Twilight? Please?” Lauren begged.
“Do we have to? I mean every Friday when we get off work, we come round your’s to get drunk but end up watching Twilight.” Claire laughed at the memories.
“Yes we do. We shall get drunk while we watch Twilight tonight.” Lauren smiled.
“Alright.” Claire laughed
Lauren ran to the kitchen to get 2 cups, a bottle of any alcohol she could find and then ran back into the living room. Coming back in, she threw the cups and bottle of vodka on the table before grabbing the Twilight DVD and shoving it in the DVD player.
“Twilight and vodka, a good mix.” Lauren laughed.
“Yeah, ok then.” Claire laughed along with Lauren.
“I can’t believe how much ive drank lately. I didn’t use to drink this much. Its only since I came back from LA.” Lauren shrugged as she poured some of the strong liquid into her chipped mug.
“Yeah, how about we stop drinking as of next week?” Claire asked, she looked pretty serious.
“Deal.” Lauren smiled, sticking out her little finger only to realise that’s what she used to do with Emily.
“What are you doing?” Claire asked, an amused expression on her face.
“My bad, I used to do it with Emily.” Lauren said as she smacked her hand against her head.
“Oh right.” Claire laughed gently before starting the DVD.
As Lauren and Claire watched the DVD, Emily went to work like on any normal day in LA. Kevin was sorting some things out with Joe about Emily going to see Lauren in England, when Nick walked in and heard that Lauren had been in contact.
Nick’s POV.
I heard that Lauren was back in contact with Emily, it made me smile so much my face hurt. I ran straight to the recording room that was in mine and Joe’s house and started working on finishing the song for Lauren. I hadn’t realised how much I really wanted to her to hear this song until now.
After finishing writing the song, I recorded it after practicing and experimenting with music for about an hour or 2. I got Joe to come and help me sing some of the parts of the song.
You warned me that you were gonna leave

After recording the song, I put it onto a CD and gave it to Kevin to give to Emily for me with 2 letters. One for Emily which basically begged her to give the CD to Lauren. The second letter was for Lauren, it said how much I missed her, how much I was sorry and how much in love with her I am.
Ok, so big things are coming up that Claire is going to love me for LOL.
