What Happened In The Neon Glow

It only took a total of three days for Karma to be completely healed, and once she was her training was back on. Although this time, Trevor and Romeo were there to make sure nothing would happen to her. The two men were a little appalled at how rough that Sir Cadeau was going on the girl. They were battling against each other like there was no tomorrow.

“Should he really be going that hard against here, I mean she did just recover and everything,” Trevor questioned, staring at the two in front of him.

“She’s not objecting to it, so it seems fine.”

“Stop!” the teacher said, and Karma instantly stopped, breathing heavy with sweat running down her face.

“This is getting us nowhere, although you have started to get better at defending yourself.”

Karma said nothing; too busy trying to catch her breath.

“What made you go into that form when Zlo came?”

“What?”

“In the middle of the fight, your image changed. You weren’t Karma any more; you were someone else with power. What happened?”

“Well… He was telling all his men to go after you, and you could barely move. I thought it was a dirty trick, and I wanted to protect you, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it over there. He was playing dirty tricks and just-“

Karma’s fist closed and blood dripped between her fingers. She was shaking in anger, but she pulled herself together and calmed down, and opened her first. The minor wound that she had was gone, so she just wiped the blood off on her pants.

“I think that her powers are triggered by her emotions, as most people’s powers are. But hers are just on a higher scale.”

“We may have to invoke you through emotions, and most of them will probably be through ones that you won’t like. Will you be okay with this?”

All three men looked at the white haired girl, who stood there silently for a moment. She nodded her head, looking more determined than ever before.

“Next time I see him, he won’t have time to escape before I crush him. He put fear into my entire life. Karma’s coming back to bite him in the ass,” Karma said with a smirk, happy with her pun.

“How much longer will we have to go?” Kaleb said as he followed the Vita de Vie in front of him. Leah turned her head to him, all serious.

“We’re almost there. I can’t believe I’m actually leading you to them. Erin is going to be so mad.”

“I told you not to, but you never listen to me.”

“Shut up Dan. I don’t listen to you because your ideas are always stupid!”

Gemini rolled her eyes at the bickering couple before her. “Would you shut up and hurry it up?”

Being scared of the Höyhenet, they did shut up, and it seemed like they moved a little faster too.

Gemini smiled in triumph, loving the effect she had on some people.

“There it is,” Dan said, pointing to an almost mansion sized house. It would be normal, if it wasn’t conveniently placed in the middle of the desert. Next to the house, the group could see people, but not distinguish who they were.

“Who do you think that might be?”

Just as training was about to start once again, Romeo went ridged as he looked out in the landscape. Out in the distance, he could see a small group of people heading towards them.

“We have some visitors,” he announced, causing everyone to look where he was.

“Do you think it could be Zlo?” Karma asked worriedly.

“He couldn’t have found us this soon…”

“Whoever it is, get ready to battle. With our strengths, we can take them.”

Nodding, Karma took the training staff, twirling it around before pointing it towards the strangers. Whoever it was, she could take them.

They continued to come, and the Vita de Vie stayed in their position. It didn’t take long for them to advance, and Karma narrowed her eyes so that she could see them better.

One of the people in the group had bright red hair that glowed against the sun. He was also fairly tall. It took a second for it to click inside her brain who it was.

When she dropped her staff and ran off, the men were confused.

“Where the hell are you going?!”

“Gemini, is that who I think it is running at us?”

Gemini, who had been addressed, squinted her eyes against the sun to see a figure running towards her, white hair billowing behind her as she ran.

“Oh, my God, It’s Karma!”

Leaving the three behind, the two adults run towards her as well, Kaleb sprinting past his friend so that he could reach her first. It didn’t take long before they met and Kaleb swept Karma up in his arms.

“Kaleb, I can’t believe it’s you,” Karma got out, tears of happiness spilling from her cream eyes.

“Oh Karma, I missed you so much. I’ve been so worried.”

“Stop hogging her Kaleb!”

Karma brought Gemini into a group hug, and all three cried at their reunion, never wanting to be separated again.
