The Holy Warriors: The Saviors
Training Day
Sam gulped, as he made his way onto the training platform. He nearly fought Mika, and only escaped, because of Finne. He sighed as Forcea took a readying stance, holding her spear with her left hand she spoke, extending her arm out. “Sleep Tempos.” And with a flash of light, the spear was gone. Sam looked in disbelief, “how did you do that?” he asked.
Forcea smiled. “With every weapon, there are phrases that allow us to summon or dismiss that particular weapon. Tempos is my weapon. I summon it by saying this phrase. Awaken the blistering winds, Tempos, and then I dismiss it by saying Sleep Tempos. But the phrases change with each weapon.” She said cooly, “ but we aren't fighting with weapons. I am all about fighting skill, and I love a challenge.” she said smirking.
Sam chuckled. He didn't think he would be much of a challenge. He sighed once more, allowing him to gather his bearings. Forcea smiled one last time. “Ready?”
She was on him so quick, but Sam seemed to just forget that it seemed all angels were fast. She charged him, kicking him in the side, making him exhale on the impact, then retaliated with a spin kick from the other leg, sending him soaring through the air. Sam landed, skidding across the training ground. He sighed, he really hated getting thrown. He sprang back, charging at her with the same blissful speed she had used, he laughed as he was starting to become accustom to the angel powers. He attacked, sending a punch aimed at her face, but she merely leaned to the left avoiding the punch all together. Sam countered by bringing his entire arm down on her neck, sending her smashing into the ground. Forcea bounced up, growling cursing under her breath, then her eyes changed, the deep magenta taking over again, enveloping her eyes. Sam braced himself, forcing his eyes shut, ready for the agony that was sure to follow. Yet...nothing. Nothing happened, he opened his eyes to see Forcea, hissing, growling at Karter, whom like Forcea the bright white held her eyes also.
“Drop the shield Karter!” Forcea snarled.
“No, Forcea. You said this was a fight using only fighting skills...not powers.” Karter pleaded.
Forcea hissed, “ I changed my mind. NOW drop shield.” she ordered.
Sam rubbed his head. Why was Karter protecting him? Marcus saw the look of confusion. Marcus placed a hand onto Karter's shoulder.
“Drop the shield. He can handle himself” He spoke huffing with a small laugh, “trust me.”
Karter nodded, but still held the shield up, Sam could now see the faint yellow glow of the apparent shield. “If you say so, Marcus.” Marcus nodded. “I do.”
It hit him like a train. He felt the wave of pain, surge through him, sending him to the ground instantly. Like Karter, his voice didn't exist. He held his mouth open, in the effect of a silent scream. He attempted to stand, but his muscles pleaded, under the torture of whatever Forcea was doing. He glanced up to see a malicious smile on her face. Sam shuddered, he felt different, he could see the strings again, but the slowly faded. He didn't feel connected to anything anymore...it was all connected to him. Including Forcea.
Sam watched as Forceas expression changed, as he began to stand. Forcing himself through gritted teeth, he stood, powering his way through the mental bombardment. Her face held a smile, a smile of intrigue and wonder. “I give you props, kid. No one has ever done this before.” Then her expression changed once more as the golden peaceful iris of Sam's eyes, took over, giving him a the color of burning amber. Forcea smirked. As the iris's changed, Sam could feel it. He felt the power erupt into him, like it released the captive energy, held inside. Sam grinned. Forcea's expression now held something new...Fear.
“Oh, snap!” Forcea stuttered.
“Forcea, unlike you. I don't cheat in a battle til someone else cheats first.”
Sam held out his hand. Flexing his palm, he focused on the auburn haired angel. He grinned one last time, while the auburn haired angel, stood in awe. He pulsed his wrist, releasing all of the energy like a shock wave. Forcea now flung through the air, her screams of terror and amazement, still brought a slight laugh to Sam and Marcus. Marcus looked at Karter. “See. Told you so.” Karter grinned.
Forcea, landed. Crashing into the practice dummy's 75 yards away. She quickly bounced up grinning. “Damn, that should be a new ride at Six Flags.” she said cooly. Her expression changed as she held her hand out. “ Awaken the blistering winds, Tempos.” and as before, the spear flashed into being. Sending a look of terror across Sam's face. But he had his own weapon. And somehow he knew how to summon it.
“Finne, Sword of the Holy Watchtower. SHINE!.” and as before in the chamber. The light erupted. Blinding all except for Sam. Forceas expression held fear again. “Its...You.”
